Forehead Lift (Browplasty)

The forehead and eyebrow region often show noticeable signs of aging. Loosening of these structures may cause drooping eyebrows, eyelid hooding, forehead wrinkles, and frown lines. In a Forehead Lift (Browplasty), the structures responsible for these problems are tightened or altered to smooth the forehead, raise the upper eyebrows, and improve frown lines.

Forehead Surgery

Forehead Lift (Browplasty) or “brow rejuvenation." restores a more youthful, refreshed look to your brow and improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make you appear angry, sad, or tired. The forehead surgery procedure is done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia.

An endoscopic or open technique can be employed. Incisions are placed behind the hairline. A series of small incisions are used in the endoscopic approach with the assistance of a camera. In those patients requiring correction of excessive skin laxity, the open approach may be more suitable.

A brow lift may be performed alone, or in conjunction with other procedures, such as facelift, or eyelid surgery. Brow lift surgery is individualized for each patient and Dr. Stile will select a technique that meets your needs.

This information will give you a basic understanding of the brow lift procedure. However, all patients are unique. An individualized consultation is needed to select the procedure most appropriate for your needs.

Forehead Reduction

Forehead reduction surgery or hairline lowering surgery can be used to reduce an excessively high hairline or large forehead in both men and women. The forehead reduction procedure can be performed at the same time as a Forehead Lift (Browplasty), or alone.

Non-surgical means can also be used to reduce wrinkles in the forehead.
