How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Each person will need a different number of sessions, depending on the size of the area being treated as well as their individual pattern of hair growth. Hair goes through resting and active hair growth cycles, and resting follicles have no hair root for the laser to target. Only active follicles will be treated during each session, but new ones will have become active by the next session. You will need enough sessions that all hair-producing follicles have been treated.
How Long Does Laser Hair Removal Last?
Laser hair removal can be considered semi-permanent. After several months, you may start to see some hair regrowth. The hair that returns will look and feel finer, softer, and more sparse than before, making maintenance much more manageable.
Is There Any Downtime After Laser Hair Removal?
You may notice some redness and soreness that resembles a sunburn. This usually only lasts a day or two. Wearing sunscreen and avoiding the sun will help you protect your healing skin. You should not use harsh or abrasive skincare products on the treated area for several days.
Am I a Good Candidate for Laser Hair Removal?
Most people can receive laser hair removal. You may not be able to have laser hair removal if you have very light, white, or bleached hair since this will not absorb energy from the laser. Our laser allows us to treat people with darker skin than many other lasers, making treatment available to more people.
