Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

Slim and Add More Definition to Your Arms

New technology and proven surgical procedures are now available to help reduce sagging or excessive skin found in the upper arm area. Dr. Frank Stile’s 20 years of experience has consistently provided his patients with excellent results.  At Stile Aesthetics,  Dr. Frank Stile used modern surgical excision techniques in addition to contouring and skin-tightening platforms to achieve unparalleled “arm-lift” results.

Typically, those who are seeking arm lift surgery (brachioplasty) have recently
lost a lot of weight or simply want to improve the definition of their upper arms. Sophisticated tightening techniques like Renuvion™ , VASER™ assisted Lipo contouring and tumescent liposuction can be used in addition to skin excision to tighten loose skin and contour bulky arms.

Your journey begins at Stile Aesthetics in Las Vegas, NV, with a thorough
consultation to determine your best treatment plan.

What is an Arm Lift?

A brachioplasty is performed under general anesthesia. The incision for the arm lift procedure is made on the inner part of the arm, from the elbow to the axilla (armpit). The loose skin and underlying fat will be trimmed away, and the underlying tissue will be pulled tight. This surgery itself takes about two hours. This is an outpatient procedure, with all patients discharged home when stable.

For best results, an arm lift may require lipo contouring or liposuction of unusually full areas in the upper arm.  This combination will help to make your arms look slim, trim and tight. The Renuvion™ (J-Plasma) skin tightening platform is sometimes used in conjunction with skin excision and fat removal to have a taut result. During your consultation, Dr. Stile will discuss the best course of action to achieve the optimal result.

Am I a Good Candidate for an Arm Lift?

While weight loss can cause sagging skin to appear on the arms, some of the loose skin can also be the result of genetics. This makes it very difficult to tone the upper arm to an individual’s desired goal. When diet and exercise fail to tone the upper arm, plastic surgery can create outstanding results. Ideal candidates have:

  • Loose upper arm skin that is resistant to diet and exercise.
  • Loose upper arm skin that appears after losing a significant amount of
  • weight.
  • Sagging skin that makes you self-conscious or feel anxious when wearing sleeveless shirts.

What Results Will I See?

After a brachioplasty, patients report slimmer, more attractive toned arms. They enjoy less loose skin in the upper arm area and an overall toned appearance. Most can wear sleeveless shirts and dresses with complete confidence following their surgery.

What is the Recovery Process Like?

This is an outpatient surgical procedure. Patients should be prepared for temporary swelling and bruising after the surgery. Patients will have drains that are removed one week following surgery. Discomfort is manageable. Patients are seen several times in our office for wound care after surgery. A support garment is worn for four weeks following this procedure. Patients can usually return to normal activities in about two weeks, with full exercise at four weeks.
