How Liposuction Works
While liposuction procedures vary from patient to patient, tumescent liposuction is one of the most common liposuction techniques. It involves general anesthesia or IV sedation and is considered an outpatient procedure. During tumescent liposuction, Dr. Stile will insert a small cannula into targeted areas via tiny incisions. Dr. Stile may also perform ultrasound-assisted lipo, laser lipo, or VASER techniques.
Since liposuction is a minimally invasive surgery, it does come with some risks and complications. These include swelling, infection, blood clots, and scarring. When the procedure is performed by a highly trained and experienced surgeon like Dr. Stile, these risks and complications are rare.
Benefits of Liposuction
With liposuction, you can reduce or completely eliminate stubborn fat in various areas of your body. Although it is not a weight loss procedure, it can give you greater definition and create a healthy, youthful appearance.
As long as you adhere to a healthy diet and exercise routine, you can enjoy permanent results. Dr. Stile has found that liposuction motivates many of his patients to prioritize their health and wellness.
