WHAT TO EXPECT FROM BOTOX®

Botox® is derived from botulinum toxin, a neuromodulator which can reduce dynamic wrinkles or the wrinkles that arise every time you smile, frown, and squint. It blocks muscular signals so that your muscles don’t contract and lead to wrinkles. Since Botox® is painless and comes with no downtime, you’ll be able to resume work and your daily activities right away. It’s a great treatment to receive during your lunch break after work. 

BOTOX® IS LONG-LASTING BUT NOT PERMANENT 

In a perfect world, Botox® results would last forever. The reality, however, is that this treatment leads to long-lasting instead of permanent results. Even though results may last between three to six months, most of our patients enjoy smooth, wrinkle-free skin for about three to four months. 

It all depends on the severity of your wrinkles and strength of your facial muscles. The good news is the results of Botox® fade away slowly over time. You won’t suddenly wake up to a face full of wrinkles. Results will slowly but surely fade so you’ll know exactly when to return to our office for additional injections.

GOOD CANDIDATES FOR BOTOX®

If you’re concerned by dynamic facial wrinkles, you may be a good candidate for Botox®. You may receive Botox® treatments if you’re younger and in search of a way to delay the onset of wrinkles. Botox® can also improve migraine headaches and TMJ pain. If your wrinkles are caused by environmental factors like the sun or you’re looking for permanent results, Botox® is not a good option.
