What Problems Can Nose Surgery Correct?

Dr. Stile can use different techniques for rhinoplasty depending on your needs and goals. He will likely perform open or external rhinoplasty with an incision under the nose for more complex procedures. Simpler procedures can be done with closed rhinoplasty, where the incisions are inside the nostrils. Rhinoplasty can achieve several cosmetic and functional goals tailored to your specific concerns.

If you don’t like the shape or size of your nose, you may feel that it takes over your entire appearance. Your nose is crucial to facial balance and harmony. Some of the cosmetic concerns rhinoplasty can address include:

RESULTS AND RECOVERY AFTER RHINOPLASTY

After the procedure, your nose will be bandaged and stabilized with splints. Swelling, bruising, and discomfort are normal during this time. Most patients return to work or school after one week. You may need to wait a month or more for more strenuous activities.

You’ll see the results of your rhinoplasty as swelling fades and your nose heals. Though you’ll see gradual improvements, it may take a year or more to see the full results. The results of rhinoplasty are permanent, so you’ll never have to worry about your nose again.
