What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers add volume to the face to enhance the facial features and minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles. All dermal fillers use materials that can remain safely in the body and stay where they are injected. Most dermal fillers last from six months to two years. The body eventually breaks down and removes dermal fillers, making them a temporary fix. However, they offer a quick and safe way to improve your facial appearance and help you look younger.

What Types of Dermal Fillers are Available?

We offer a range of dermal fillers to make sure we can always choose the best one for you. Each type of dermal filler has its own benefits.

Juveverm®

This family of products uses hyaluronic acid, a molecule found naturally in the skin. It helps attract and hold moisture in the skin, enhancing its plumping ability. Using different formulations of hyaluronic acid, Juveverm® products can enhance the lips, add fullness to the cheeks, and address even deep lines and wrinkles. Their formulas are also available with lidocaine to provide numbing with each injection.

Radiesse®

Radiesse® uses calcium hydroxyapatite, a mineral found in our bones. It works especially well in treating moderate to severe lines and wrinkles in the mouth and nose area, such as nasolabial creases that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth.

Restylane®

This family of dermal fillers also uses hyaluronic acid to provide volume and fullness. Restylane® includes products that treat nasolabial creases and other lines and wrinkles, as well as formulas for lip plumping and one that can even add volume to the hands.

Sculptra®

This unique dermal filler uses poly-L-lactic acid, which acts to trigger collagen production. Unlike most fillers, results from Sculptra® can take weeks to months to develop. The enhanced volume comes from the collagen produced in your skin, and unlike most other dermal fillers, it can last over two years.

Am I a Good Candidate for Dermal Fillers?

If you would like to see more volume in areas of your face, you may be a good candidate for dermal fillers. People bothered by lines and wrinkles are also good candidates. With our range of dermal filler options, we have one that will work best for you and your goals. Since most dermal fillers occur naturally in the body, reactions are almost nonexistent.

Is There Any Downtime With Dermal Fillers?

The most common things people notice after treatment include minor redness, bruising, or swelling. All of these will resolve within a few days. You can go back to your usual routine after treatment, which usually lasts from fifteen minutes to an hour.
