Benefits Of A Breast Lift
A breast lift is a popular cosmetic procedure carried out by Dr. Stile. It results in women having perkier, more youthful-looking breasts that feel firmer and are anatomically more correctly positioned.
There are many reasons why a woman can benefit from a cosmetic breast lift procedure. When breasts lose their elasticity, they typically change shape and sag.
Some women have ptosis (sagging) that results from lost breast volume as well as lost skin elasticity. For those reasons, a breast lift can be highly advantageous and sometimes adding a breast implant can restore lost volume.
The other reasons why a breast lift or mastopexy can be beneficial are as follows:
Improved Symmetry
A breast lift ensures that each breasts are symmetrical. That means each breast will appear the same size and have a better fit in bras.
Improved Contour
Another advantage of a breast lift is that the breasts will become reshaped, resulting in a more beautiful and defined appearance. A breast lift can also reposition the nipples and areolas to achieve the desired optimal results.
Improved Confidence
Lastly, a breast lift will give women renewed confidence in their bodies. Women will feel more confident both in and out of clothing with rejuvenated breasts.
Breast Lift Overview
As you can imagine, a breast lift is an involved surgical procedure and one that must follow a specific process. Each breast lift client will have unique requirements, but the general procedure steps are as follows:
Breast Lift Consultation
The process begins with an in-depth consultation with Dr. Stile, where he will assess how the procedure will work best. Doing so will enable him to measure the precise degree of sagging and recommend the best treatment option.
Dr. Stile may also recommend breast augmentation to increase the volume and firmness of breasts. A breast augmentation can significantly change the size of breasts, especially with clients that experience excessive sagging.
During the consultation, Dr. Stile will also review each client’s medical history and ask questions about past medical conditions and whether there’s a history of breast cancer in the family.
Breast Lift Preparation
The key to a successful breast lift outcome is by carefully and methodically preparing for the procedure. For example, Dr. Stile will recommend that patients stop smoking before the surgery and avoid smoking during the healing process.
Patients may also need to take or avoid specific medication to help them prepare for the procedure; Dr. Stile will advise each client during the consultation stage what they need to do.
Also, clients should arrange for transport to and from Dr. Stile’s cosmetic surgery center and have someone stay with them for a minimum of 24 hours after the surgery.
Breast Lift Procedure
The breast lift procedure gets carried out under general anesthesia. Dr. Stile will make one of three incisions on each breast, depending on how extensive the breast lift must be.
Dr. Stile might make incisions around the areolas, downwards from the areolas, or horizontally along the breast creases. He will then precisely remove any excess skin and reduce the size of the areolas if required.
He will also raise the nipples to higher positions, so a perkier, more natural, and youthful appearance is achievable. Lastly, Dr. Stile will close all incisions with surgical subcuticular self absorbing stitches. — there are NO sutures on the skin that need to be removed!
Breast Lift Recovery
Dr. Stile will cover the breasts with protective gauze and may place small drain tubes at the incision sites for draining excess fluid or blood. Each breast lift client will also need to wear a surgical support bra after the procedure.
The recovery process takes several weeks, but patients can typically resume their daily activities within two weeks. Dr. Stile recommends that each client avoid exercise until at least six weeks after the procedure.
All patients should avoid straining, bending, and lifting for the first 48 hours post-procedure. Light activities, such as slowly moving around a room, are encouraged to stimulate blood circulation.
